I want to work out there next winter, how do I get a job?
You can view all of the available winter positions here on our website www.skijob1.com. We typically start posting winter jobs in the late summer or fall. When you see a job that interests you, you can come to the Human Resources office to apply. If you are out of state, please take a look at the website to see where we will be visiting this summer. We travel around the US to recruit people for winter jobs. We require in-person interviews for most of our positions.  Please select the “How to Apply” link when viewing a position to see whether the position requires an in-person interview.

Is housing available?

What benefits do you offer?

Medical insurance, 401(k) plans, ski pass, food and beverage discounts, apparel/equipment discounts at designated shops, and more.

Do I get a ski pass?
Yes, all employees receive a ski pass.

Do I need to bring a resume?
We leave this decision up to the applicant. It is helpful to see a resume, but it is not required or necessary.

Can I volunteer to get a ski pass?
Yes. We do offer a limited number of volunteer positions during the winter season. A few of our volunteer positions include guest service/information, star rides and race crew. These positions are not posted on the website, so you need to call the HR office of the mountain you are interested in to see if there is anything available.

Where can I use my pass?
Full-time employees have an unlimited pass at Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Breckenridge, Heavenly and Arapahoe Basin.

Part-time employees get an unlimited pass at Keystone/Breckenridge or Vail/Beaver Creek. In addition they will have 10 days added to their pass to use at the two resorts in the other county and A-Basin.

How soon can I get a job?
There are three steps to getting a job. First, you must fill out an application. You then must schedule and interview with a representative from the Human Resources office. From there, if you are a qualified candidate, HR will pass your application to the hiring manager who will then contact you to set up another interview. This process can take anywhere from one day to a month, depending on the time of year.

How much money should I come with?
All of our jobs start at different times, so it is important that you come with enough money. You will need money to live off of during the time you are interviewing for jobs or waiting for your job to start for the season. You will also need money to check into housing - first month's rent and a deposit. Also, keep in mind that employees receive a paycheck every two weeks, so depending on when you begin working, it could take about three weeks before you receive your first paycheck.

How many jobs can I apply for?
We allow applicants to apply for two positions at one time on an application. However, when you interview with Human Resources, you can talk to the interviewer about other jobs you may be interested in.

How long is the ski season?
The ski season runs from Mid-November to Mid-April.

Is employment available after the winter season?
Yes, employment is available after the winter season. The summer season usually runs from mid-June to September.
